Introduction:

In this course, students will be introduced to sketching as a quick way to visualize their ideas. This is particularly beneficial in the initial stages of design to give the designer direction, but also to give others (such as clients) an insight into what the designer is thinking. Participants will be introduced to isometric drawing, a precise measured perspective made with the help of set squares and an ellipse template. This will help to train the participants’ eyes to judge scale and proportion. Once the participants have mastered the isometric drawing technique, they will develop the ability to produce quick freehand sketches.
