Introduction:

What are the founding principles of creating well-thought design? This is the starting question for anyone working in the arts or creative fields. There are no wrong answers as to what an inspiration can be- a thought or a shape, a picture, something from nature, a memory from your past. Anything can be a start. This course will teach methods to translate elements or shapes into designs. We will discuss what makes good design from bad design, when to stop working on a design and move on, and how you want your clientele to understand your designs. At its core, design is based on balance, rhythm, harmony, and scale. In all things.
